My Honest Review of BLUELAND 100% Plastic-Free Dishwasher Detergent Tablets

I’ve been on a mission to make my home more eco-conscious without sacrificing performance, and the BLUELAND 100% Plastic-Free Dishwasher Detergent Tablets have truly impressed me. I initially made the switch to avoid microplastics and unnecessary chemicals, and now I genuinely can’t imagine going back to conventional pods.

These tablets are compact, fragrance-free, and completely free from plastic wrapping—unlike most typical pods that come in a PVA film. That alone gives me peace of mind, especially knowing I’m not coating my dishes (or body) in questionable residues. And for a fragrance-free product, I noticed absolutely no lingering odors or soapy aftertaste. Everything comes out fresh, clean, and ready to use.

The cleaning power is excellent. Whether it’s stuck-on grime or baked-on stains, my dishes and even the interior of the dishwasher come out spotless. I don’t even use a rinse aid, and they still perform consistently well. On days when I don’t pre-rinse, a heavier cycle or the occasional second tablet takes care of it.

There are a few minor things to be aware of. The tablets are unwrapped, so they can be prone to crumbling if left in the bag. I solved this by transferring them into a storage jar. Also, they don’t always dissolve properly in short cycles, especially if you have hard water. I make sure to use the normal or heavy cycle, and haven’t run into any issues since. A couple of tablets arrived chipped at the bottom of the bag, but nothing that affected their performance.

As for the packaging, it’s minimal and waste-free, but I do wish the bag had a better seal. Again, a glass jar or tin easily fixes that. Some might find the price a bit higher compared to traditional brands, but for me, the environmental benefits and ingredient transparency are more than worth it.

Overall, these tablets do exactly what they promise—they clean effectively while aligning with a low-waste, toxin-free lifestyle. I’ve tried other eco-friendly options before, but none felt as thoughtfully made or as effective as this. I’m sticking with BLUELAND for the long haul.
